British MPs Visit to ASE

The CEO of the ASE, Mr. Jalil Tarif, met the British parliamentary Delegation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan headed by the vice - Chairman of House of Lords, Ms. Trish Morris and in the presence of the Chairman of the Conservative Middle East Council in the House of Common Mr. Leo Moshree, at the Jordanian Capital Market Institutions premises. Mr. Tarif discussed ways of fostering cooperation between both countries. Tarif also presented the recent developments witnessed by Jordan Capital Market in recent years and the current challenges facing the securities industry and the role of capital market institutions in providing an attractive environment especially that the national economy is open to the foreign investment, where Non-Jordanian ownership constitutes about 49% of ASE Market Capitalization. The delegation expressed admiration on the legislative and regulatory developments carried out by the capital market institutions in addition to its advanced technological level.
